Recruitment Fairs
Search Associates organises several Recruitment Fairs in different countries around the world every year. These remarkably relaxed and friendly events (at least, ours are!) bring together selected Recruiters and Candidates and are organised so that every candidate can have several interviews during the two or three days of the Fair.
The Recruitment Fairs are a very effective means of matching candidates with vacancies and have the added advantages of allowing both recruiters and candidates to learn more about each other in both formal and informal situations. As well as one-on-one interviews each school gives a 30-minute presentation about their school and the country in which it is located. Candidates also learn a great deal about the international schools scene (and about individual schools) from each other. All candidates who register with Search Associates are encouraged to attend our Recruitment Fairs to improve their chances of placement.
Harry Deelman organises the London-February Recruitment Fair for IB Schools. He also set up the Dubai and London-May Recruitment Fairs, which have many IB Schools recruiting at them. Harry Deelman normally attends all three of these fairs to help and advise his candidates, making them particularly relevant to candidates with IB experience registering with his branch.
A relatively new focus for the Harry Deelman branch which started in the 2007-8 school year is supporting Michael Williams, the organiser of the January and Spring Search Associates Bangkok Recruitment fairs, by registering and assisting the IB-experienced candidates who wish to attend either of the Bangkok fairs each year.
Candidates registered with the Harry Deelman branch of Search Associates can also apply to attend any of the other Search Associates Fairs listed in the Recruitment Fairs Schedule, bearing in mind that the final decision on candidate numbers / invitations to each fair has to rest with the organiser.
