General Recruitment Fair Information for SCHOOL RECRUITERS
Search Associates organises several Recruitment Fairs in different countries around the world every year.
The Gez Hayden branch runs the annual London-January Recruitment Fair for IB schools and IB teachers. A select number of British Curriculum international schools and candidates are also invited. At this Fair you can expect 350-400 IB Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma teachers, and 75-100 British Curriculum teachers. We invite also a small number of outstanding teachers who do not have this experience, but who do have a strong international and IB orientation. Usually, these teachers' area of expertise is in shortage.
The London-January Fair is mostly for major IB international schools, and 15-25 top British Curriculum international schools. Most of the limited number of school places have been filled by prior invitation, but good IB and British Curriculum international schools are welcome to request waiting-list places. The London-January Fair in 2011 will have about 500 carefully selected candidates deemed suitable for IB schools, and top British Curriculum international schools, in the ratio of 4:1. We strive to maintain a good balance of recruiters / candidates (between 1:3 and 1:5) and endeavour to match the list of candidates we invite to the needs of recruiters.
The London-January Fair contains an integral Leadership Section. This section provides schools with a forum in which to interview suitably experienced administrative candidates to fill leadership vacancies. This targets middle management positions, and has a predominantly, but not exclusively IB focus: IB PYP, MYP and Diploma Coordinators; Grade Level Leaders / Section Heads; Counselors; qualified IB workshop leaders and trainer-trainers; CAS and Community and Service Coordinators; Area of Interaction Leaders; and Year Heads.
