How Search Associates Works

Search Associates is a single company formed by a number of senior associates who work largely independently while adhering to a common set of standards and offering a uniform range of services.  We share the same fee structure (with currency and UK variations) for our services and we follow the same professional guidelines.  All senior associates work with the same international schools worldwide and share information about job vacancies and available candidates for those vacancies.

International Schools sign up with Search Associates as a whole and not with a single office or branch.  The information that each school submits about itself and its vacancies is made available to all Search-registered candidates via our Schools online database and our daily update e-mail messages.

In order to maintain the 'personal touch' on which Search Associates prides itself, and to better represent each individual candidate's interests, every candidate registers with a single senior associate of their choice.  All of their communications are with that senior associate's office.  However, all the information supplied by each candidate is maintained centrally so that it is accessible to all branches of Search Associates and the international schools with which we work.

Every year, Search Associates organises several recruitment fairs in different countries around the world.  All candidates can apply to attend any of the Search Associates recruitment fairs, although acceptance is at the discretion of the senior associate organising the fair.

We will not knowingly discriminate against any teacher on the grounds of gender, race, age or religion.  However, we do try to give realistic advice - for example, a teacher with a dependent spouse and five children has an extremely slim chance of being placed, and some countries have age limits for work permits.
