Information for Candidates Wishing To Register with the Harry Deelman Branch of Search Associates
Only returning Search Associates candidates who were registered with Harry Deelman in the past, and new-to-Search IB-experienced candidates whose principal aim is to attend Search's Bangkok-January or Bangkok-Spring Fair, should register with the Harry Deelman branch. All other new-to-Search IB-experienced candidates, and also recruiters who visit this IB-emphasis Search website, should review only Gez Hayden Branch branch pages.
Registering with the Harry Deelman branch
Whether you are a new* or returning candidate you will need to complete the following steps in order to register with the Harry Deelman branch of Search Associates:

Step 1 - Online Application
Complete the Search Associates online Application Form by following the links in the right-hand column of this page. BEFORE starting this registration process, please acquaint yourself with the Candidate Fees of this branch of Search Associates and with the Terminology used in the online application form.
Step 2 - Submit supplementary documentation
- Add a passport size photograph (120 pixels wide x 155 pixels tall at 72dpi, JPEG format) to your Search Associates online Application. A light background provides more contrast and duplicates best; please be cheerful and smiling. You can access your Application to upload your photo by using the Candidate's Login form in the right-hand column of this page.
- Send us a signed printed-out copy of the Candidate Agreement either by airmail or, after scanning the signed copy, as an e-mail attachment.
- Send us a summary Curriculum Vitae / Résumé, either as an e-mail attachment or by airmail.
Step 3 - Provide confidential Evaluation Forms**
- Ask three or more of your Supervisors (Head, Principal, Head of Department, Year Coordinator, etc.) to complete a Search Associates Supervisor Evaluation Form, or Administrative Candidate Evaluation Form, or Intern Evaluation Form, as appropriate.
[The "Intern" form is for those who have just graduated from university and who seek a one-year "Gap Student" position involving some teaching and much extra-curricular support at an international school.] - Ask two or three Parents of students you have recently taught to complete a Search Associates Parent Evaluation Form.***

Note: As of 18 September 2009, for all new evaluation requests you must use the Referee Submission Form, which you can reach by clicking on the Add Referee link in the welcome page that greets you when you login to your Search Associates database candidate area. Please read the Evaluation Forms page for more information about this system of requesting evaluations from your referees.
Step 4 - Pay registration fee
The registration fee can be paid in UK Pounds or US Dollars - by cheque, bank transfer, or Internet banking. For further information click here.
Together, the documents listed above form what we call a 'Search dossier'. This is the paperwork we hold on file for every registered candidate, to send out to the schools that contact us throughout the year when they are looking for teachers / heads / principals / etc. They are also the papers we duplicate for the school recruiters who attend the Recruitment Fairs we organise.
We do not give candidates access to the Search Associates Schools database nor enable them to receive the new vacancies daily update e-mail messages until they have completed at least Steps 1, 3(a) and 4, above.
