GOOD NEWS for CANDIDATES: No candidate's placement fee.
Returning candidates may recall that there was a portion of the placement fee to be paid (in some cases) by the candidate. This has now been abolished by Search Associates, so there is now no candidate portion of the placement fee. There is, as always, a registration (or re-registration) fee - see here below. |

- Please note that we reserve the right to refuse (or return) payment and not accept your registration if we judge that Search Associates cannot for any reason support your candidacy.
- Fee Payment

* Please note that all bank or wire transfers (whether arranged at a bank counter or via the Internet) must clearly state your name as the first item in the "Notes" section, so that we can see who the payment has come from. - Payment in US dollars is also acceptable but in this case the Search Associates-USA registration fee figure of US$ 200 per candidate must be sent. Checks in US dollars must be made payable to Harry Deelman and be drawn on a USA-located bank account. If you wish to send a US dollar wire transfer, see Note 2.ii above and e-mail Harry Deelman for details.

- When your registration fee, your online registration application form, and the majority of your confidential references (evaluation forms submitted directly to us by the referees whom you request them from) have been received, we will e-mail you to acknowledge their receipt and confirm the status of your registration.
- The registration fee covers use of the Search Associates databases plus ongoing assistance and advice either for 3 years or until the candidate accepts an overseas / international school position (whether through Search Associates or otherwise) whichever comes first.
- Recruitment Fair attendance and costs
- For the first Search Associates Recruitment Fair attended by the candidate within their current registration period no further payment is needed provided that the candidate has paid a current Registration (or Re-registration) Fee.
- Additional Fairs - Harry Deelman candidates attending any Search Associates Recruitment Fair worldwide should send £ 35 to Harry Deelman, if it is not their first Fair within their current registration period. Harry then pays this on your behalf to the Fair organiser. Please see Note 2, above, for methods of payment. All fees should be sent well in advance of the Fair.
- Please note that acceptance of a candidate's application to attend a specific fair is at the discretion of the organiser of that fair.
- All applications for fair places (at any Search Associates Recruitment Fair) by candidates registered with the Harry Deelman branch of Search Associates, must develop from the candidate contacting Harry Deelman first. Please do not initiate contact with the organiser of the fair except through Harry Deelman.
- When a candidate accepts a position and/or becomes no longer an actively job-seeking candidate, his or her application will be removed from the active Search Associates candidate database, but it will be retained in Search's online Archives. At this branch, the candidate paper file and references will be retained by Search Associates for a period of at least 5 years. On re-registration, a fresh (maximum 3 years) registration period begins, once a new online registration application has been submitted and additional current references have reached Search Associates.
- For all positions there is no candidate portion of the placement fee. The whole placement fee will be paid by the recruiting school.
- Upon registering with any branch of Search Associates all candidates agree to abide by the terms of the Agreement between Candidate and Search Associates.
