Harry Deelman Branch
The Harry Deelman branch works with teachers of all nationalities and backgrounds - in particular, but not exclusively, with those specialising in the International Baccalaureate (PYP, MYP and/or DP). We work with all good international schools worldwide.
Harry Deelman started the British and IB branch in 1993, based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where his wife, Margaret, was the founding Head of an international school. In 2003, upon creation of the British branch of Search Associates, Harry transferred responsibility for the British element of the branch to David Cope. This enabled him to concentrate on helping those teachers with a more international focus, notably those with IB experience and interest, and to develop his London-February Recruitment Fair into the leading job fair for major IB international schools. He continues to be based in Chiang Mai, where he is assisted by his wife Margaret and executive assistant Glynn Morgan, both of whom have directed - and taught for decades in - international schools in their own right.
A relatively new focus for the Harry Deelman branch which started in the 2007-8 school year is supporting Michael Williams, the organiser of the January and Spring Search Associates Bangkok Recruitment fairs, by registering and assisting the IB-experienced candidates who wish to attend either of the Bangkok fairs each year.
Teachers who:
- are committed teachers of the International Baccalaureate, or
- are IB-experienced and hoping to attend either of the Bangkok Recruitment Fairs, or
- have a particular interest in international schools offering the IB
- are hoping to attend the London-February Recruitment Fair, or
- are IB-experienced and hoping to attend the Dubai Fair and/or the London-May Fair
mostly register with the Harry Deelman branch of Search Associates.
