Notes
- Please note that we reserve the right to refuse (or return) payment and not accept your registration if we judge that Search Associates cannot for any reason support your candidacy.
- Fee Payment: we accept payment in US Dollars or UK Pounds Sterling. All invoices will be made out in US Dollars. You may e-mail Amelia Ren-Hayden to obtain the UK Pounds Sterling rate and banking details if you wish to pay in UK Pounds Sterling.
We accept the following payment methods:- Internet or wire transfers to the bank account specified in our invoice. All remittance charges (for sending the transfer, either by your bank or the intermediary bank) must be borne by you, the remitter. The comment / reference / message section of the remittance must show: "your family name + invoice number".
- PayPal payment to the PayPal account specified in our invoice. A surcharge of 5% will be applied to our fee to cover PayPal's handling charges.
- Confirmation of your candidate status: when your registration (candidate database user) fee, your online registration application form, and the majority of your confidential references (evaluation forms submitted directly to us by the referees whom you request them from) have been received, we will e-mail you to acknowledge their receipt and confirm the status of your registration.
- What the candidate database user fee covers: use of the Search Associates databases plus ongoing assistance and advice either for 3 years or until the candidate accepts an overseas / international school position (whether through Search Associates or otherwise) whichever comes first.
- Recruitment Fair attendance and costs
- For the first Search Associates Recruitment Fair attended within the current registration period no further payment is needed, provided that the candidate has paid either a Registration (Database User) fee or the relevant Search Fair Hotel Charge fee to the candidate's Search Associates office of registration.
- Additional Fairs - Gez Hayden candidates attending any Search Associates Recruitment Fair worldwide should send US$ 50 to Gez Hayden, if it is not their first Fair within their current registration period. Gez then pays this on your behalf to the Fair organiser. Please see b. Fee Payment (above) for methods of payment. All fees should be sent well in advance of the Fair
- Acceptance to attend a Fair: Please note that acceptance of a candidate's application to attend a specific fair is at the discretion of the organiser of that fair.
- Applying to a Search Fair: All applications for fair places (at any Search Associates Recruitment Fair) by candidates registered with the Gez Hayden branch of Search Associates, must be initiated by the candidate contacting Gez Hayden first. Please do not initiate contact with the Fair Organiser.
- After appointment: When a candidate accepts a position (or becomes no longer an active candidate for another reason) his or her application will be removed from the active Search Associates candidate database, but will be archived. The Gez Hayden Branch will retain the candidate dossier for at least ten years. Returning candidates beginning a fresh job search need simply to e-mail Gez Hayden for their original file to be brought out of the archive. The candidate then updates and refreshes the original application with additional recent career and personal information, and adds additional current references. Once all registration and payment requirements are met, the candidate file is reactivated, again with a maximum 3-year validity.
- Candidate placement fee: The whole placement fee is paid by the recruiting school.
- Terms of Agreement: Upon registering with any branch of Search Associates all candidates agree to abide by the terms of the Agreement between Candidate and Search Associates.
