General Information About The Search Associates London-May Recruitment Fair
The London-May Fair is particularly appropriate for teachers (keen on IB schools or otherwise) who find London accessible and for whom the spring timing is convenient. The fair now features over 50 schools each year, from an ever-widening list of locations.
Harry Deelman started the London-May Fair and has been present, helping candidates and schools, at every London-May Fair since their inception. This recruitment fair is now organised by Harry's close friend and colleague David Cope, the UK-based representative of Search Associates. Harry's continuing role at the London-May Fair is primarily focussed on helping the IB-experienced teachers. IB-experienced teachers who are new to Search Associates should register with Harry Deelman if they wish to attend the London-May Fair.
Candidates registered with any branch of Search, including all teachers registered with Harry Deelman, need to familiarise themselves with the London-May Fair Information for Candidates webpage (see link in the right hand column of this page) and then request a candidate-place invitation from the office of their sponsoring associate.
Teachers registered with the Harry Deelman branch of Search Associates should notify Harry of their interest in the London-May Fair so that he can send them an invitation. No duplication of paperwork is needed. Each candidate should send Search registration papers, references, etc., only to the Search office that the teacher has chosen to register with. For Harry Deelman registered candidates this means that they are sent to our office in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where they are carefully monitored, filed and made available to other Search Fair organisers and to School Recruiters in support of the candidate's job applications.
