Search Associates Databases
Search Associates maintains two databases: a Schools Database and a Candidate Database.
The Schools Database
The Schools Database is a fully searchable, online database which allows Search-registered candidates to find out more about the schools that Search Associates works with and in particular what vacancies they are seeking to fill. Candidates can use the information in this database to contact schools directly and apply for any positions that are of interest to them.
Approved schools, including all the schools which attend Search Associates Recruitment Fairs, provide Search Associates with a detailed profile which is stored in the Schools Database. Each school profile lists general information about the school, including its hiring policies and salaries, and advertises the school's current vacancies. This database is password protected and therefore only accessible to candidates who have completed the registration process and had their Username & Password validated by the senior associate with whom they have registered.
Schools are asked to revise the information and vacancies in their profile frequently. Each school is responsible for keeping its own entry up-to-date and accurate. As some schools are better at this than others, candidates will find a "Last Update" date at the beginning of each school's vacancies table. In addition, each vacancy entry is dated individually so that candidates can judge for themselves how 'fresh' the vacancies are. Vacancies which have not been updated for 45 days are automatically deleted by the system.
Search-registered candidates are promptly informed of all vacancies that might be appropriate for them, as all those who are actively seeking a new position receive daily updates, by e-mail, of all the changes made by school recruiters to their vacancy lists in this database.
The Candidate Database
The Candidate Database is a fully searchable online database which contains the Search Associates Application Form details (with links to confidential references and the candidate's own Biographical Notes) for all fully registered and actively job-hunting Search Associates candidates.
This database is password protected so that candidate details can only be accessed by recruiters representing the schools that have been approved by Search Associates (i.e.: the schools that list their information in the Schools Database).
Each candidate has an individual Username & Password which permits them to access their own online Application Form (without the links to their references), as well as the Search Associates Schools Database as explained above.
