Leadership Section: Search London-January
The London-January Search Fair for IB schools and candidates, and for a select number of British Curriculum international schools and candidates, contains an integral Leadership Section, at which schools seeking key personnel can interview a range of suitably experienced candidates. This is occasionally an appropriate forum for Head of School appointments to be made, but does not normally replace a Head Search. It targets mainly middle management vacancies: IB PYP, MYP and Diploma Coordinators; Grade Level Leaders / Section Heads; Counselors; and Year Heads, with a particular focus on educational leadership in IB schools.
Participation in the Leadership Section of the London-January recruitment fair is likely to be an initial step in the selection process. It is unusual that an offer of a leadership position is made solely on the basis of interviews carried out at the Fair, as schools often require further selection procedures, sometimes taking place at the school itself, before a decision to appoint is made.
