Optimising How You View This Website
Every effort has been made to make this site compatible with as wide a range of browsers as possible. However, as no two browsers seem to interpret the standards in the same way, we can not guarantee that this site renders as intended in your particular browser.
If you are experiencing difficulties viewing or navigating this site, here are some tips to help improve your experience whilst visiting this site.
Text Size
The size at which the text on this site appears will vary according to many factors, not least your monitor definition and the browser you are using. On most modern browsers, you can change the size at which text displays on your screen by altering the "Text Size" or "Zoom" settings in the browser's "View" menu. This site has been designed to be fully scalable, to optimise the way it displays whatever the text size you choose. Note, however, that at very large text sizes in certain browsers the 'right-hand column' of some pages may be displayed below the main body of text rather than next to it.
Accesskeys
Based on the UK Government Accesskeys Standard guidelines the following keyboard shortcut accesskeys can be used on this website to facilitate navigation.
| Accesskey | Links To... |
|---|---|
| S | Skips past the navigation menu, to the main text on the page |
| 1 | Home page |
| 3 | Site map |
| 5 | Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) |
| 6 | Help page |
| 9 | Contact Details page |
| 0 | Access key details (this table) |
| Accesskeys specific to this site: | |
| > | The next page (hierarchically) in the website |
| < | The previous page (hierarchically) in the website |
Accesskeys work (in compatible browsers) by holding down the 'Alt' key (on Windows) or the 'Control' key (on Macs) and pressing the accesskey specified above. Where the accesskey is a number, you must use the numbers located above the letters on your keyboard rather than those in the number pad section of your keyboard; in some browsers (including newer versions of Firefox for Windows) you may also need to hold down the 'Shift' key (as well as the 'Alt' / 'Control' key) when pressing an accesskey that is a number.
Note that in some browser versions accesskeys only work if a link to the desired destination page is visible on the page, hence in certain browsers some of the accesskeys listed above may not work from certain pages on this website.
[Note for Internet Explorer users on Windows: in the Windows versions of Internet Explorer you must follow the accesskey by hitting the 'Enter' or 'Return' key on your keyboard for the accesskey-linked page to open in your browser window.]
Problems Using The Navigation Menus
To work correctly, the navigation menus on this website require you to have JavaScript enabled and a browser that fully supports the DOM (Document Object Model). If you are experiencing problems viewing or using the drop-down menus that (should) appear as you move your cursor over the links in main menu bar (between the logo and the main body of text, at the top of each page) you should still be able to reach every page on this website via the text links which appear hierarchically on each page as you navigate through the site.
Alternatively, you can access every page on the site by using the text links on the Site Map page. The Site Map is located at http://www.search-associates.net/site_map.htm and can be accessed by clicking on the 'Site Map' link that you should be able to find at the top of every page on this site.
Tooltips
A tooltip is a short explanation that pops up in a small box next to the item to which it refers, when you rest your cursor over an item that has been labelled with a tooltip. Most of the links on this website have been labelled with tooltips to clarify where they connect to. Likewise, most of the acronyms used on this site have been labelled with the full phrase for which they are an abbreviation.
